KidZone is our children’s ministry name. We use the Workshop Rotation Model (WoRM) for our children's church classes. We keep the focus on God motivated perspective.
We have eight different workshops to appeal to your child. Our rotations utilize three to four workshops per month.
One lesson is taught for consecutive Sundays. Each student will visit a different workshop each Sunday enabling them to engage in the lesson in different ways each time.
This helps to allow the students to learn the lesson in their own learning style. Some children learn by hearing, some by hands-on activities, some by active movement and some by reading and writing.
Our workshops are entitled:
Da Vinvi Inventions:
Craft project workshop for woodworking, pottery, & jewelry making.
Gutenberg Press: 
Journalism workshop using interviews, creative writing, & newsroom items.
Michelangelo Studio: Art project workshop for painting, sketching, & sand art
Court Jester: 
An active, lively workshop for fun, games and various activities.
Galileo Esploratore:
Science workshop incorporating kid-friendly experiments.
Sistine Time Machine: 
This workshop will help the children learn of the history of the people & cultures of the Bible.
Goblets & Grub:
A cooking workshop for creating edible treats to enhance the lesson.
Shakespeare Players: 
Drama, dance and puppets will all be used in this workshop.
LCC's KidZone is developed on the idea that children learn in different ways. Some learn by doing, some by seeing, some by hearing.
We want to ensure that no matter what your child’s learning style is, they can enjoy and learn the truths of the Bible. This is why we here at Life Community have chosen the Workshop Rotation Model (WoRM) for our class structure.
We can actively get children involved in learning by utilizing various materials, media and activities. We want your child to become actively involved in the details of the lesson. Whether it is having them make a clay oil lamp, make up dance steps to a worship song or creating a delicious snack. All are viable ways for your child to relate to the story and life applications of the Bible.
The workshop leaders will be ready to welcome your child at 9:45am. The class starts promptly at 10:00am.
Please be sure to sign in your child at the beginning. All children will be assigned to one of four groups as follows:
Builders - Ages 2 & 3 years old (potty trained)
Carpenters - Ages 4 & 5 years old
Stonecutters - Grades Kindergarten - 2nd
Artisans - Grades 3rd - 5th
We use a number system to inform you if your child needs your attention during the service.
PowerHouse BabyZone*
We know your baby is the most important person in the world to you and you want to make sure you leave him or her in secure and nurturing hands. Your baby is important to us, too. We offer a gentle curriculum in a safe, caring and happy environment for your baby to visit during the service. Babies from birth to the age of 24 months are welcome to come play in the caring environment of our nursery. They are welcomed to be signed into class 15 minutes before worship begins.
*All volunteers on our BabyZone, KidZone, E.R. and S.W.A.T. ministry teams have undergone child abuse and criminal background checks.
